God did deliver them and wanted to live among His people, so He asked them to build a sanctuary for Him (Exodus 25:8). God promised to dwell among them (Exodus 29:45).  Jesus became human to help us better understand God. He chose to become one of us and to live among us. And when He returned to finish His work in the heavenly sanctuary, He gave us the Holy Spirit so that He could continue to dwell in our hearts (John 14:16; Ephesians 3:16-17; Romans 8:9). Jesus promises to abide in us as we abide in Him (John 15:4).

 In some marriages, the spouse leaves when the money dries up. In other marriages, the relationship is more important than the money. Having each other with little is more important than having much. God loves us and He wants to be with us and He wants a relationship with us.
