Internet Resources

Publishing Ministries The official Seventh-day Adventist Publishing Ministries website contains many useful resources. You will find the mission and organization of the publishing department. You will also find training materials, downloadable literature, and testimonies.

Especially note the two resources from the above website:

Publishing Houses in Adventist Encyclopedia Here you will find many articles in the Encyclopedia of Seventh-day Adventists about the history and development of various Adventist publishing houses around the world.

EGW Books

The Publishing Ministry

In regard to the publishing work, Ellen White wrote, “Let everyone professing the name of Christ act a part in sending forth the message, or ‘The end of all things is at hand’; or ‘prepare to meet thy God.’” She added that the gospel publications “should go everywhere.” In The Publishing Ministry, Mrs. White not only stresses the importance of the literature work in these last days, but she also gives counsel in regard to leadership, co-working, distribution, content, and every other aspect related to the publication of God's message to the world.

Counsels to Writers and Editors

Counsels to Writers and Educators gives inspired counsel on the principles of Christian book and periodical editing, as well as other factors in the production of gospel literature.

Colporteur Ministry (1953)

In this book, the editors included most of the material from The Colporteur Evangelist (1920), removed some repeated statements, and expanded it with additional EGW statements to provide a more comprehensive manual.
